I am a Year 6 student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
My name is Shannon, and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.
You’ve done such a stellar job on your post! I like yours better than the original because your use of colours really brings the lady combing her hair to life! The yellows and blues match quite nicely.
The lady appears to be wearing a kimono from Japan. They’re such beautiful pieces of clothing with a lot of history behind them! They really symbolise Japan. What are some things that you think symbolise New Zealand? I think pineapple lumps and gumboots do!
Good job on starting the Summer Learning Journey, I look forward to seeing all your future blog posts! What activities are you most excited for?
Kia ora Orlando. I have just moved the link to your blog to the Whakamanawa 2021 blog list and spotted this very cool post. I agree with Shannon and I too like your art more than the photo of the original because of how the colours stand out. I am really interested to know how you created this.
Please structure your comments as follows: Positive - Something done well Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say Helpful - Give some ideas for next time or Ask a question you want to know more about
